The emails also suggest that Epstein was considering a dinner invitation with Andrew, David, and Jonathan Rowland in Hong Kong, but he seemed hesitant to commit to any business ventures. In 2011, an associate of Epstein wrote to him about Jonathan Rowland's invitation to join a new fund for investments in China, Russia, CIS, and Europe, expressing reluctance to get involved. Jonathan Rowland confirmed the meeting but denied mentioning Epstein. The same year, an email to Epstein noted Andrew's scrutiny for dealing with Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan, with the support of the Queen. The emails underscore the close relationship between Andrew and David Rowland, including attending each other's events and events. David Rowland was a guest at Andrew's daughter Princess Eugenie's wedding, and he had acted as Andrew's official representative at a funeral in London in 2015. The Epstein files include a photo of an article from the Telegraph website, featuring a montage of David Rowland, Andrew, and Epstein, alongside claims that Rowland paid off Sarah Ferguson's debts and Epstein covered others. However, Jonathan Rowland stated that he and his father had never seen this photo before. He claims that Rowland played a crucial role in helping Andrew monetize his royal status and government position as a trade envoy.
