Traveling with Metro to NBA All-Star Weekend
Avoid the stress of traffic jams, high parking fees, and ride-share expenses by taking advantage of the free Metro Shuttle service!
Connecting via MetroCorK Lines
You can easily access the arena by disembarking at one of these convenient stations:
– C Line: Hawthorne/Lennox or LAX/Metro Transit Center
– K Line: Inglewood or LAX/Metro Transit Center
Once at the station, hop on the complimentary shuttle that will take you directly to the arena. These shuttles will be operational starting two hours before each event and will continue for one hour after the events conclude. To return to your original station after the festivities, simply catch the shuttle at the same drop-off point.
NBA All-Star Weekend Event Schedule

- Friday, February 13: Castrol Rising Stars at 8 p.m.
- Saturday, February 14: All-Star Saturday starting at 2 p.m.
- Sunday, February 15: 75th NBA All-Star Game at 2 p.m.
If you're looking to attend the NBA Crossover event, head to the L.A. Convention Center by taking the A, E, or J Lines to Pico Station in downtown L.A. From there, it's just a short walk to the convention center.
PARKING AT METRO STATIONS

METROLINK REGIONAL RAIL
Union Station in downtown Los Angeles serves as the main hub for Metrolink. From there, you can easily transfer to the Metro system.
For detailed schedule, fare, and parking information, check the Metrolink website. Keep in mind that traveling between Inglewood and Union Station may take some time, and the availability of night trains could be limited.
If you have a valid Metrolink ticket, including the $15 unlimited SoCal Day Pass, you can ride Metro without any additional cost. Just remember to keep your Metrolink ticket handy to scan at the fare gates.
METRO FARES
- The standard fare for riding Metro is $1.75, or you can opt for a round-trip ticket for $3.50.
- Two children aged 6 and under can accompany each paying adult free of charge.
You can pay your fare using a digital TAP card available on your smartphone or a physical TAP card when boarding trains and buses. TAP vending machines are located at all Metro Rail and Busway stations for purchasing plastic cards. Remember: each TAP card can only be used once per ride.
Using Your iPhone for TAP
* Open your Apple Wallet app and tap the “+” button.
* Select ‘Transit Card,’ then choose TAP.
* Add your fare using a double click of the side button.
* Tap at the bus farebox or validator at rail stations to begin your journey!
* You can store multiple TAP cards in your Apple Wallet and switch between them as needed.
Using Android Phones for TAP
* Download the TAP App from Google Play.
* Sign into your account or create a new one.
* Follow the prompts to add a TAP Card to your phone and load fare; a round-trip on Metro will cost $3.50.
* Tap your phone at the bus farebox or validator at rail stations before you ride!
Purchasing Plastic TAP Cards
* Each plastic TAP card costs $2, plus the fare. TIP: Buy a round-trip fare for a total of $3.50 to save money!
* At TAP vending machines, you can buy up to five TAP cards at once, each pre-loaded with $5 of Stored Value—enough to last you throughout the day.
