Additionally, the return of promising freshman Jayvan Boggs is a smart move; he's a reliable player with high potential, and his presence will be felt in the starting lineup again next season.
But here's where it gets controversial... FSU also managed to retain Landen Thomas at TE, which is a significant achievement. Thomas, a former four-star recruit, stepped up as a freshman and has the potential to be a key contributor. However, the loss of Randy Pittman, who followed Gus Malzahn from UCF, leaves a notable void. Pittman's versatility and skill set were invaluable, and his departure feels like more than just losing a player.
